Clip Status is a macOS menu bar app that monitors public status pages for third-party services.

Data stored on your Mac

Clip Status saves your preferences locally using macOS UserDefaults, including which services you choose to monitor, notification and webhook settings, refresh interval and appearance preferences, and cached copies of the remote service catalog.

This data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your personal settings.

Network access

Clip Status needs internet access to fetch public status pages for the services you monitor, download an updated service catalog from GitHub, and send webhook alerts to a URL you configure, optionally.

If you enable webhooks, status change events are sent only to the destination URL you provide. Clip Status does not send webhook data to Clipmind or any other third party.

Notifications

If you allow macOS notifications, Clip Status uses Apple's UserNotifications framework to alert you about service status changes. Notification content is generated locally on your Mac.

Data we do not collect

Clip Status does not create user accounts, collect analytics, sell or share personal data, or track you across apps or websites.
