# Clip Status

> Clip Status is a native macOS app that monitors the status pages of the services you depend on, directly from the menu bar and as a desktop widget.

Clip Status polls the status pages of services like GitHub, AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Cloudflare, Stripe, Apple, and hundreds more on a configurable interval. It shows the aggregate state in the menu bar, keeps a short history sparkline per service, sends native macOS notifications on state changes, and can forward alerts to Slack, Discord, or any custom webhook.

- No account required. No telemetry, no analytics, no third-party tracking inside the app.
- Ships with a curated, remotely-updated catalog of 400+ services (aimed at developers, DevOps, and engineering teams), fetched from clipstatus.com/app/remote-catalog.json, and supports any Statuspage.io-compatible URL as a custom service.
- Network requests the app makes: status page checks for services the user enables, the remote catalog file above, service favicons (from the service's own domain or a public favicon API), and — only if configured — webhook alerts to a URL the user provides.
- Includes a macOS Notification Center widget in addition to the menu bar dropdown.
